By accessing or using Vidi ("Service"), operated by Vidi ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Vidi is an AI-powered workflow tool for video editors. The Service includes a desktop application that runs on your local machine and a cloud API that provides AI analysis, transcription, and search capabilities. Subscriptions are billed through Paddle, our merchant of record.
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
Free Tier: Includes limited AI analysis and transcription at no charge. No credit card required.
Paid Subscriptions: Paid plans are billed monthly through Paddle.com. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges. Prices are displayed at checkout and may be subject to applicable taxes as determined by Paddle.
Founding Member Pricing: Early-access founding member pricing is locked in for the duration of your continuous subscription. If you cancel and resubscribe, the current regular price applies.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Paddle customer portal. Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused time within a billing period.
If you are unsatisfied with the Service, contact us within 14 days of your first payment for a full refund. After 14 days, refunds are provided at our discretion.
You agree not to:
Local Processing: Your video files remain on your local machine. The desktop application processes footage locally on your device.
Cloud Processing: When you use AI analysis or transcription features, extracted frames or audio segments are sent to our cloud API for processing. This data is used solely to provide the Service and is not stored beyond the processing session.
You retain all rights to your content. We claim no ownership over your videos, metadata, or analysis results.
The Service, including its software, design, and documentation, is owned by Vidi and protected by intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vidi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that AI-generated analyses, tags, or transcriptions will be accurate, complete, or error-free.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
For questions about these Terms, contact us at [email protected].
The desktop application bundles FFmpeg for media processing. FFmpeg is provided under the GNU Lesser General Public License version 2.1 or later (LGPLv2.1+).
The corresponding source code, build script, and redistributed runtime archives for the shipped FFmpeg build are available from Vidi on request at [email protected].
